This weekend came the news that Castellum is ranked sixth among the worldwide real estate companies in terms of sustainability. A big step for us and hopefully inspiration for many more efforts needed to save the climate.
Just as the Cop26 climate conference came to its end, news arrived that Castellum was awarded top marks in the S&P Corporate Sustainability Assessment – for the sixth consecutive year!. We are the only Nordic real estate company to pass the index’s tough criteria. Only the absolute best in each industry qualify. The point of the list is that it is a benchmark when investors invest sustainably, and the result is sent out to the entire global investor market.
”It is obvious that our sustainability work is beginning to resemble an internationally winning concept,” says our sustainability manager Filip Elland, pointing to three keys to success:
- Our sustainability goals are linked to the global goals, with a clear roadmap for how we will achieve net-zero carbon dioxide emissions by 2030.
- Sustainability is a fully integrated part of our business, prioritized by both the board and management, as with managers and employees in the business.
- We work in a structured manner, follow up continuously and make careful risk assessments.
A fourth, less formal, success factor is the committed action among our sustainability experts, who as a suggestion may celebrate the success with organic champagne (e.g. Cuperly Grande Reserve Carte Verte Brut, fresh in taste with hints of red apples, nougat and orange)
